Precious Youths of Twon Kingdom Coast Guides have commenced a sanitation exercise to improve hygiene and engender better practices in the coast community.
The programme being sponsored by the Lady Diete-Spiff Foundation is geared towards promoting peace through community service and building self-worth in youths.
The scheme which kicked-off on February 28, commenced activities on March 1, 2019 with 40 youths including young women and will involve the cleaning of river banks, keeping the gutters and community clean.
Part of the Lady Josephine Foundation objective according to the founder and programme initiator, is to help build the skills of Twon Brass youths and team spirit for positive contribution to the development of the kingdom.
Queen of the kingdom, HRM Lady Josephine Diet Spiff who said the programme is receiving appreciation from both the participants and community members expressed hope that the success of the one month project for which the Precious Youths would be paid, would attract support from well meaning citizens of the kingdom and oil companies operating there as a means of sustaining the peace being nurtured in Twon Brass.
