The Nigerian Institution of Highway and Transport Engineers will on Friday April 20, 2018, hot the 2018 NIHETE Annual Lecture with the theme, “Popular Participation in Promoting Energy Utilization in Nigeria”.

The lecture is billed for 2pm at the Rivers State Engineering Center, 3 Bernard carr Street, behind the Rivers State Library and the distinguished lecturer will be Engineer Ezenekwe I. Obadiah, a respected engineer and hotelier in the state who has done extensive studies in the Nigerian on energy.

The NIHTE , a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in its circular announcing the programme, said admission is free and “everyone in any way connected with infrastructures, management is invited”.

It said the lecture will be of particular interest to funding agencies, national, state, local government authorities, parastatals, policy and decision makers, academics, researchers, students and professionals active in planning, construction, maintenance, logistics, operations and safety of infrastructures as well as end-users of energy.

The NIHTE Annual Lecture is a platform for professionals, experts, engineers, non-engineers and scholars to share ideas on safe and sustainable infrastructures as well as development.
