Even as the economic downturn bites harder with more people going to bed hungry, the local pastor (resident minister) of the Silver Valley of Assembly of God Church, Port Harcourt, Rev. Emmanuel Elijah Ekpo has advised Nigerians to position themselves to receive better and greater abundance from God this 2018.
Rev. Emmanuel Ekpo stated this weekend in Port Harcourt at the grand finale of the church’s 2018 National Family Week programme with the theme, ‘ God’s Glory In The Family’, organized by the Sunday School Department of the church.
According to Ekpo, ‘God has promised to release silver and gold in abundance this year. You and I shall not be left out. We therefore, need to position ourselves and our families for greater and better glory’.
The clergy reiterated the need for the citizenry to allow the greater manifestation of God to take place both in their hearts and families.
“It is a year we shall see the glory of the later house, which the Lord says shall be greater than the former. In other words, you have seen nothing yet, the glory shall be greater glory for the later house and the blessings shall be bestowed on the family, church and society.”
He charged youths to respect the elders and obey constituted authorities.
Also speaking, the general Sunday school superintendent of the Silver Valley of Assemblies of God, Brother Temple Nwaichi said the 2018 National Family Week of the Assemblies of God Church is very important because, “everything we are talking about or say starts from the family”. This is the reason why our family week theme is, God’s Glory in the Family.”
He explained that God gave the revelation to leaders of Assemblies of God Church worldwide to put up the programme.
“The focus is to see how we can bring the glory of God to the families. There is no success in any family without God. If we can bring our families to God we will have a perfect world.
“The family being the basic unit of the larger society, custodian of values, formation of character and norms for human development, therefore, there is the need to experience this supernatural phenomenon. “His glory for the later house, if the family or house is good the community will be good. If the family is good the state will be good. If the family is good the country will be good.
In fact, I see the glory coming, but if the family or society will be good we need to expunge all the trashes and make a way for this great and unprecedented phenomenon.”
